Tamria Zertuche Elected as President and CEO of Ferrellgas Partners

Ferrellgas Partners has announced that its board of directors has unanimously elected Tamria Zertuche, the current COO, as the next president and CEO, effective August 1. James E. Ferrell, who served as president and CEO for several years, will now take on the role of executive chairman of the board.

Under Zertuche’s COO leadership, Ferrellgas transformed into a technology-enabled logistics company, achieving significant improvements in financial performance. The company’s dedication to employee ownership and inclusivity was recently recognized when Newsweek named Ferrellgas one of the “Most Trustworthy Companies in America.”

In her new role, Zertuche expressed her honor and privilege to lead the high-performing employee-owners of Ferrellgas into the future. Having been with the company for 19 years, starting in information technology and advancing to various positions, she was proud to become the CEO. She emphasized the importance of Ferrellgas’ inclusive atmosphere in her career growth.

James E. Ferrell, who returned as interim CEO in 2016, played a pivotal role in repositioning the company after an unsuccessful diversification attempt. His continued leadership as executive chairman will support Zertuche as she takes on her new responsibilities.

Ferrellgas Partners has a strong 80-year history, and the company remains committed to its goals and ongoing financial strength after completing restructuring transactions in 2021.
