MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Murfreesboro Police Department has identified the victim of a tragic crash involving a small pickup and a propane truck as 46-year-old Anthony Cothern.
Authorities are investigating the incident that occurred on SE Broad Street near Overlook Place in the early morning hours of July 7, 2023. According to initial reports, the pickup truck driver veered into the lane of the propane truck, resulting in a collision.
Emergency responders worked diligently to extricate the trapped driver from the pickup truck. Despite their efforts, the driver succumbed to his injuries after being transported to the hospital.
Fortunately, the propane truck driver emerged unharmed and without evidence of a propane leak. The propane cargo was safely transferred to another truck and removed from the scene.
