Palmdale Oil Expands Services with Como Oil & Propane Acquisition

FORT PIERCE, Florida – Palmdale Oil, a prominent provider of fuels, lubricants, and chemicals with comprehensive delivery solutions throughout Florida, has made a significant announcement. The company has successfully acquired Como Oil & Propane of Florida, a full-service fuel and propane distributor based in The Sunshine State. While the deal’s financial terms remain undisclosed, this strategic move represents a substantial expansion of Palmdale’s service portfolio.

Founded in 1967 by Myles Hall, Como Oil & Propane of Florida has steadily evolved from a single-facility enterprise into a renowned, family-operated provider of fuels and propane serving southeastern Florida. Operating five facilities along the eastern Florida coast, Como offers customers a wide range of top-tier services. These include propane and fuel distribution, generator sales, service, maintenance, and installation.

Under the new ownership, Michael Bodine and Como’s dedicated Florida-based team will continue to lead the Como Propane Division.

Bob Hall, Chief Executive Officer, and Ryan Gunderson, President of Superior Fuel Company, Como’s parent company, expressed their enthusiasm for the partnership with Palmdale. They highlighted the remarkable growth of Como and its substantial presence in Southeastern Florida. They firmly believe that Palmdale, a Florida-based, family-founded and operated business with a 40-year history, aligns perfectly with Como’s values and culture.

Lachlan Cheatham, Chief Executive Officer of Palmdale, also shared his thoughts on the acquisition. He acknowledged Como’s impressive reputation as a trusted propane, generator, and related services provider in Southeastern Florida. Cheatham emphasized this partnership’s mutual benefits, believing it would greatly serve both organizations’ customers, old and new.

Citizens M&A Advisory served as the exclusive financial advisor to Palmdale, with Citizens providing debt financing to facilitate the transaction. Legacy Energy Consulting was pivotal in facilitating the sale of Como Oil & Propane of Florida.
