LG Unveils Advanced Eco-Friendly Heat Pump
LG, a renowned South Korean electronics company, has recently introduced an innovative Therma V R290 Monobloc residential heat pump. This cutting-edge product stands out with its use of propane (R290) as a refrigerant, boasting a shallow global warming potential of only 3.
The Therma V R290 Monobloc is designed for easy installation and maintenance, ensuring speed and simplicity. The heat pump’s design ensures optimal performance and efficiency, even in harsh climates, effectively handling temperature drops to 5 degrees F. Its operational range extends further to -18 F, showcasing its robustness in extreme weather.
LG’s latest offering is available in four different models, catering to various needs with nominal capacities of 9 kW, 12 kW, 14 kW, and 16 kW. A notable feature of this heat pump is its impressive seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP), which exceeds 5, indicating high efficiency over different seasons.
Another significant aspect of this product is its compatibility with energy storage systems (ESS). This integration allows for enhanced utilization of residential photovoltaic (PV) systems. The system smartly stores excess energy in the ESS battery during peak solar energy production times. Later, this stored energy can heat water and power home appliances in the evening, a period of high energy demand. This functionality not only boosts energy efficiency but also promotes energy independence for homeowners.
LG’s Therma V R290 Monobloc heat pump is a noteworthy development in residential heating solutions. It offers eco-friendliness, high efficiency, and innovative energy storage integration, making it suitable for modern, environmentally conscious homes.
